微軟發佈首個Windows Home Server RC體驗版/試用版

Microsoft 開發中的家用Windows 7 Home Server現處於代號Vail的開發階段. 新版本的Windows 7 Home Server加入了Windows Server 2008 R2的新功能, 包括了多媒體串流, 多部電腦備份及還原功能等. 現時新版的Windows Home Server已經發放RC (Release Candidate)版本, 內裏的功能與正式版沒有太大的分別, 主要是用來消除Bug. 現時Windows Home Server已經可以在以下網站下載.

Windows 7 Home Server 首現CES 2011

在CES上, 不難發現一些即將推出的產品, 包括了尚未發佈, 第一次現身的硬件及軟件. 在CES上, LACIE展示了一款名為5BIG BACK UP SERVER的產品, 吸引我們目光的不是硬件規格, 而是運行的操作系統是尚未發佈的Windows 7 Home Server.

Windows 7 Home Server 是Microsoft新的家用伺服器作業系統, 目前仍處開發階段為Vail. 預計將會在今年2011年的上半年推出RTM版本, 同時公開發售.
