Google在Google I/O大會上，正式公佈了有關下一代Android的資料。現時Android最新的代號為Honeycomb，下一代將會使用Ice Cream Sandwich作為代號，予計會到年底第四季才會發佈。開發重點將會加強Tablet平板電腦與智能電話的互相連繫，現時Gingerbread 智能電話上有的功能也會加入至Tablet平板上。
