Google為了提供開發者易於開發Chrome OS，向參與Chrome OS開發的開發者提供Chrome OS的筆電Cr-48。有消息指Google已經停止Cr-48的申請，不再提供Chrome OS 的Cr-48筆電。消息指Google暫停提供Cr-48筆電，是預示將會Chrome OS的筆電上市。
