當大家拿著iPhone, Android智能電話可以借用Wi-Fi在地圖定位，無須借用GPS全球衞星定位功能，相信都會在電腦上試著同一樣的動作，在Google Maps或其他地圖程式上，嘗試為自己定位，但都會無功而還，因為Windows 7雖然支援定位功能，但預計並沒有提供Wifi 定位，這時你可安裝Geosense。
Geosense是一款免費的應用程式，能夠為Windows 追加如同iPhone的Wifi定位功能，安裝後，在Windows 7的"Location and Other Sensor內會新增一個名為"Geosense Location Sensor的裝置，透過這虛擬裝置我們便能在Windows 上定位。要留意Geosense讀取的是Wifi的位置訊息，流動寛頻測試過後未能成功讀取位置，同時需要下載其已內置API的GoogleMapsDemo( Geosense Demo Client)才能成功定位。開發者也提供APICode給其他開發者用於其他程式設計。
