Apple宣佈明年2011年1月推出Mac OS X的Mac App Store, 提供一個類似iPhone / iPod Touch 的App Store,方便Mac 用戶更容易購買及搜尋Mac的應用程式. Mac App Store將會在1月6日式上線, 在全球90多個國家同時推出, 當中包括Paid App及Free App. Apple希望透過Mac App Store令Mac的應用程式發展有如iPhone iOS的增長及改變.
